Fa La La La La

Nothing quite like Christmas carols to get you in the Christmas mood! I loved this silhouette shape the moment I saw it and just had to make it into a carolling card.

Nichts bringt mich mehr in Weihnachtsstimmung als Weihnachtslieder! Als ich diese Silhouettevorlage endeckt habe, habe ich mich sofort in sie verliebt und ich musste sie für eine Carolling Card verwenden.

Another Leaping Reindeer

I was inspired by the creative cards on the Hero Arts Blog to get all Christmas crafty in honour of World Card Making day. I just can't get enough of the reindeer stamp set, so here is the reindeer, leaping again!

Thanks for stopping by:)

Jumping Reindeer

This is a long overdue post to show you the card I made for the Hero Arts August Challenge. (only one month late :)) I'm having so much fun with the scene challenge--I don't usually make a lot of scene cards, but now I'm completely hooked! My Christmas Reindeer set arrived in just enough time to squeak one more card in before September.

Thanks for looking!

Creating a Scene

Morning!

I've recently become very addicted to Hero Arts stamps! (I'm patiently waiting for my new order to arrive by checking the mailbox every 30 seconds...). Such a gorgeous collection and a fun website/blog with lots of ideas, cards, 'n contests. I entered in the July contest with a digital stamp and the canvas stripes background, and since then bought my first cling set, "Sending Holiday Cheer," which I used for this months entry. The August contest was to make a scene, a card for a child, or a card with creatures. I chose to make a village scene with a concertina-style folding to make it look like the house and trees were in a 3D winter-wonderland. The Hero Arts flickr community is filled with lovely people and their sweet comments truly made my day.

Hero Arts July Contest

Hi Everyone :)

The Hero Arts July Contest is long over--but I'm just finding time now to update my blog after our holidays in the UK. This was my entry for the digital category, using the printable "Birthday Wishes" stamps.

Happy 30th Birthdays!

This was the summer for turning 30 :) Friends, relatives, everyone jumped on board. These are a few of the cards I made to celebrate all the round-numbered birthdays. (Too make it extra tricky--they were all guys!)

First, 30 little birthday birds to celebrate 30 years! I also entered this card in the Hero Arts July Contest as a digital entry :)

This one is all about the bling! The glitter-ritzed letters don't show up so well with the camera, but they are sure shiny in real life.

I have such a hard time making guy-cards, so I was super excited about the "Boys" stamps from Lili of the Valley. This is my "relax and enjoy your celebration" card for a laid-back colleague.
